Just picked it up and after a very quick cleaning...

I haven't seen one for years. I have to think they didn't sell too many. Looks like fun though. Not sure if it will be run or not.

Novel .061 same as the LMH helicopters used. Not a lot of HP but very interesting. Notice the exhaust throttle? Carb is just a venturi no rotary or slide valve.

I think I am going to buy a current legend just for the freshening up parts and body. Hard to find anything on these showing how they shipped, ie which bodies were available

Stay tuned....I have another cox powered exhaust throttle car in the teardown stages now. And no, its not a Nissan or stocker circa 1988....

Nice find! My local hobby shop back in Minnesota had one of those on the shelf for ages. I picked up the box and put it back about a dozen times, was going to get it when they clearance-sale'd it, and someone else snagged it before I could. (Same thing happened at the same shop with an RC10DS Team kit...he who hesitates is lost. I did, however, score an Eliminator 12 kit for $49 from them once.)
If I remember, they just came with the same coupe and sedan bodies as the electric versions.
She looks a little better now with my eBay find body and tires. The lot was too good (cheap) to pass up, and the Body looks pretty decent (better than I would be able to do)

Here is my race abused bolink legend. It has ran inside on carpet and outside on dirt, and probably hasn't been cleaned since the last race LOL.
These are neat little cars. I just saw the other night that the RJ Speed versions are available on...

these where fun little cars. my local track ran a spec class and a mod class. the track was smooth paved indoor concrete with nitro fuel sprayed on the floor( so i was told). we would use rtv silicone on the tires. there was so much traction you...
It was a sad day for me as I awoke to the news of Jack Flannery's passing yesterday. He was only 57 years old. A true pioneer in the sport of off road racing. If it wasn't for him and Walker Evans battling it out on the short courses of the Midwest,...

The poster is of the 1992 Crandon Track advertising the Brush Run 101 with the dates. It is a birds eye view of part of the track (section closest to the deck/bar). I think there are also a couple of photo inserts showing a truck in the air, maybe a...
Hey, I'm no Tamiya fan, but these wheels caught my eye, as did the vintage Trinity Speed Gems 2 motor. It turns out these gold-plated Hotshot wheels are rare as hell and probably worth their weight in real gold. 8) I probably couldn't forgive myself...

Those wheels are indeed very rare, where did you find those? Highly sought after those
The BoLINK Nitro Racer was a gas powered on-road/oval track car released in 1999. This ad also featured the RACEtech G-Force electric oval racer as BoLINK acquired RACEtech in 1998.

Huh... I wasn't aware of that factoid either. I've always known the Apex10 existed, but never looked into what it was specifically in any great detail. Pretty cool stuff for sure. Bolink also had another nitro pan car that came out a year after the...
I couldn't take it anymore. All that dirt, grime, and the crazy nest of zip ties just sitting there on the shelf among all the nice clean cars.
The original condition of the car can be seen here:
Here it is after a complete tear-down and rebuild....

That turned out nice and the best part is when your not running it, you can use the tub to grate parmesean cheese on your pasta.
More specifically... what are the differences in the belt versions. I've managed to collect a bunch of different ones and wondering which are more rare or whatever. Here's what i have:
-White transmission
- Black transmission
-front one way diff
