Well, I must say I've been lucky on this one, the rolling chassis was badly listed and few people were watching it.
Just look at this beauty, with finely painted "box art" body, wing and driver. Two minor scuffs on the chassis, almost a new build! I remember seing that paint scheme somewhere on an ad, but just can't find it back. Any help?
It's just amazing how cheap you can still find a '10 as compared to the NIP parts you have to find and struggle to win when you buy a basher you want to restore. I guess that the body alone would sell for what I've paid for the entire buggy... Hopefully none of those "Epay chop-choppers" had seen it...

the paint does look familiar. Is it the same as the rc10 on the Pactra Lexan Paint racks?
Now I've got another excuse to go to the LHS: "research"

aaaah, you're absolutely right, I use to visit a LHS here that still has the Pactra shelf on the desk and each time I go there, I say to myself, wow that RC10 is SWEET, I think it also has the chromed Proline rim covers... But, like temple said, the paint scheme can also be found in the early manuals, though in black and white I think...

The pan car will be for sale, can someone tell me what it is? and the Graphite will make the object of a new thread (I have a killer project for it).

I think for me it was my local club run track being invited to come to the local Monster Truck Nationals over the weekend. I got to hang out in the pits for free all weekend and play on what was essentially a bashers paradise as well as spend the...

For me RC cars were a gateway to establishing my fascination with mechanical systems. Soon after my 1st hobby grade RC car build I got infatuated with 1/1 scale cars which eventually lead me to becoming a machinist.
Hey all, heres some pics of the last Optima I had about 9 years back. It was the last of 12 I had collected. This one later became a Javelin, better pics to follow 8)

nice but you could certainly clean those white parts a bit further... Use WD-40 on the spur to make it look like new!

Ok, here's my current build. After being on these forums for some time now, I think it's high time I actually post a build! This is also my first attempt with an air brush and something more complicated than a straight line
It's going to be a...

Thanks! I learned a lot about painting with that shell, mostly what not to do
Since my teens, I have thought RS Golden Arrows were great looking.
Since getting back into vintage RC, I have thought about combining the two, but gold pans just weren't all that compatible with the GA body....

This is awesome! I had two Golden Arrows back in the day. First met it's demise trying to jump a pool. The other just got beat down over time. Wasn't much after that when I got my first RC10. Very neat mashup!
