Kooz's Graphite/Novak Project...

Post by RJK33 »

Well, pretty much finished my Halsey build and decided it was time to try it again. Found this baby on Craigslist. Pretty much stole it! $60 plus $10 shipping!
Looks like it was put together but never run, just sitting in the old owners closet collecting dust.
I think I can provide her with a good new home!

Thanks for the compliments! I feel like I just won the lottery! I took it apart tonight and the thing has never had a motor mounted in it! I split the gear case apart and the gears look like the day they were made! Woohoo! JACKPOT BABY!

Is the rear end motor guard (connects chassis to motor plate) in one of those bags?

Very nice score.

My RC10 Graphite came out of the box with TQ21 rear tires, though. Yours look like original gold pan rears. Did they also ship with those rears?

It amazes me that people buy this stuff. Put it away and sell it without doing any research on it to see it's real value. Lucky for you though nice find. I always look but never find deals like that.

The only tires I got with the car were the ones shown. Thankfully, the fronts weren't glued! 8)

Has anyone boughten one of those do-it-yourself Black Oxide kits? I tested the vinegar rust removal trick with one of the tie rods and it works GREAT! Only it strips the Black Oxide off as well as the rust.
