Man, where are you guys finding all these new chassis parts? I search ebay daily, but dont see anything like that..

Darryl Lane is a member here and still sells the A&L trailing arm chassis on Ebay for $80. You may try to PM him, but be careful, he sometimes has brain farts

New revised picture. I like this better. I went back to the A&L shock tower and longer shocks.

Well guys, I finally drove it for it's shake down run. I was so excited, I ran a full pack before I realized I had like 5 degrees of negative camber and all kinds of toe-out!!

It drove well, took jumps fairly level and I put a few divots in the ground and the nose plate. Nothing broke or bent and the Traxxas tires really hooked up well despite being a fairly hard compound. I sound like a NASCAR driver.

Next time, I'll get some pics.

The car looks amazing! Running it must really top it all off. What electronics did you put in it?

..... Is the tekin car next on the run list

Camber is kind of the weak point for the trailing arm design I guess. With the short arms camber changes rapidly, and it becomes quite extreme with the added travel of longer shocks.
Maybe we would have seen extra long trailing arms on later cars if the whole industries hadn't switched to the H-arm design.
I'm setting up the arms to have 0 degree camber at normal ride level , which means a lot of negative camber when the shocks are fully stretched. Tak told me that's the way to go when i pointed it out on his yokie

Yeah, the Tekin is next. I just threw in a basic Futaba radio and an old Novak Explorer ESC. Nothing vintage or high end. I had to adjust the rear spring tension to get the ride height correct.

I've also made some extended nose brace tubes from 3/8" aluminum tubing. I haven't finished yet but they'll mount at the front then end at some RC10GT pieces on the chassis. That's going to require 4 holes to be drilled.

I'm going to have to make a template or something.

Hey guys, here are some updated pics. I made the conversion to 2.2 wheels and finally installed the nose tubes. It's about to get a set of Technacraft turnbuckles up front. I also revised the body mounting so that it sits below the rear shock tower.
