Gomachv's Bling Bling Dhawk RC10
Let me start off by saying that I've never taken these aluminum parts seriously. I genuinely do not like them. Buuuuuut.....when the sets went on sale for $50 a while back I figured I'd try one. The fit isn't terrible, except the steering which comes with 4mm screws lol, and the rear arm mounts are a little wide. I used a Jconcepts bellcrank (I won't discuss my disappointment with their bearings!) and tossed the Dhawk crank. I had to do some dremeling to the rpm arms in the rear to fit the mounts. Otherwise I can't complain much. It has slop, but I've seen worse.
I have some generic cheapo orange anodized shocks coming to match, and will be using jconcepts wheels. I'm staying with the black and orange theme, to the point that I ordered black oxide washers and nuts. I have ordered the dhawk Xray wing mounts and servo mounts as well as the antenna mount. Due soon. The towers are kinwald style drilled for wing mounts. Should be pretty bling
Here she is so far

Looks sharp! I've considered grabbing some of the Dhawk bling too just for fun but haven't pulled the trigger, too many projects already queuing up. Quick question, where did you buy the Kinwald towers from, or did you make them?

The other colors were still regular price. Gold was $49 a kit!

Nice mix of colors, I'm not a bling guy (purple aside ), but this looks nice. Make sure to mix up the shocks too with black/goldish orange.

Rear wing mounts, servo mounts, antenna holder and battery strap done! Although I think I'll do a matching kinwald style strap.
The black hardware helps it out too. Hard to see the black washers and nuts, but they are there.

Re: Gomachv's Bling Bling Dhawk RC10
Thanks I have never been a big bling fan, but I think it's just the right amount on this one. I'm rethinking my wheel choice tho. Really tempting to pull the trigger on some cheap aluminum wheels from China. The jconcepts wheels are just a bit plain
