me too, i really like the rpm kits, but i never ran one, anyone know how it handles compared to the tube chassis?

I may be able to provide some information regarding this one. The original HPI 5 spoke wheels did come in 2.2, but were only offered for kyosho hex paterns. There were 4 types:

White - rear wide hex
White - front narrow hex

Black - rear wide hex
Black - front narrow hex

So I'm guessing that a hex adapter was used to allow the rear wheels to be mounted.

Very very nice it's completly RPM kit or HPI?

Pardon My ignorance, did they sell that car as a kit or did that guy just make one for him to race?

the RPM kits were firstly available as a front and rear end kits, then they released a chassis and a chassis kit. Some companies like THOR in the UK released complete kits (see the scan section) with other brand items. Gotta love these, in my mind they set the basis for the B2 car and modern buggies. 8)

I actually have that Hybrid from the magazine article :)

I confirm the rear HPI star wheels are hex with adaptors.

Pics once I restore her, she was well raced after the article.
