Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
Most of you have seen this truck before, however it now sports a shiny new chassis (thanks Scr8p), nose plate, motor mount and trans housing so I thought it deserved another airing.
I'm missing white battery boxes, servo blocks and an antenna holder but I can't justify the expenditure for them at the moment, anyway they would only hide that shiny shiny chassis
Does anyone else have one of these conversions they would like to share piccies of this is the only one I have seen still in existence and I just don't believe that can be right

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
What do you need to know about the kit? I have one here at my apt that is NIB.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
Thank you for the offer of help MrLexan, I'm just interested to see more pictures of this type of truck conversion, I think other manufacturers did them (ProLine?) If you get a chance and it's not too much trouble I would like very much to see your NIB kit and packaging please

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
here's shag's proline conversion.............
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=75
i'm pretty sure that andy's, proline, jg, and A&L were the only ones that made a monster truck conversion for the rc10. i'd really like to get the proline kit. actually, just the body. i used to run it on my junior-t. i'll also be doing a trailing arm monster truck build to add to my "andy's family", at some point in time.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
CRP also made truck conversion mounts and several styles of wheel adapters to get metric(tamiya blackfoot) wheels mounted.
Here is one I built up with HPI wheels and wide hubs in the rear.
I do not know if CRP sold a complete kit like the proline/jg with the wheels/tires/body, and body mounts, or if they simply sold the mounts and wheel adapters separately.
The crp kits are still available in several colors via the teamcrp seller on ebay. It will only work with a 6-gear aluminum tub chassis.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
i thought about the crp mounts after i made that post. but like you said, i'm unsure if they made a complete kit or not, also. i know they made a monster truck conversion for the futaba fx10.
i kinda remember seeing a complete crp kit for the rc10 on ebay, though. body and all.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
Nice memory of the first year a truck class was added to our club races.
One year later the 10T came out and by the end of that season all the conversion were shelfed.
Is that an andy's body you have on it?

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
I didn't realize there were different styles ie race and monster, I seem to remember InetRC sold a really nice one in the last 12 months that he had re-anodized but I can't find the pictures (what has happened to Alex anyway )
Yes Mr.ED it is an Andy's body, you can just see the signature on the front wing in the first shot
I'm not sure about the bell crank n33no but someone here will know

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
Yes Andy's shells of all types were available pre-painted, usually in a pretty distinctive style. I'm sure there are a few others around here somewhere.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
Nice truck! Wonder how the servo survives with the wheels having the extra leverage from that offset! Weird that andy's didn't just make longer arms to convert to truck.

Re: Synergys Andys RC10 Truck
i'm pretty sure that the jg kit came with a lexan ford f-150 body, similar to the original blackfoot hardbody.
