RC10DS Conversion
Hello all. Starting a new project based off an RC10DS conversion kit. I received the the following chassis from a member on here a few months ago. It already had a lot of DS goodies on it and some custom work done by the previous owner. I knew once I received it I would finally put to use a DS conversion kit I had been holding on to.
Took the transmission out to disassemble and go through, the bottom of this chassis is stamped with an "A". I have a gold motor plate that I'll be swapping in(found this plate sitting in someones shed locally, go figure).

Re: RC10DS Conversion
My collection of DS goodies I've acquired through the years.
Start of the project
Got the shocks from the conversion kit assembled
Looks like the theme will be gold and black on this build

Re: RC10DS Conversion
Thanks for the replies. I've been slammed lately with work and the kids going back to school. I was able to make some progress on this although I didn't really have a chance to document every detail.
I ended up swapping all the new parts I had from the conversion kit so that every part would be minty fresh. I will save the part I took off for another build.
Front end mostly completed, still need to install a servo and steering linkage:
Rear End w/ universals installed:
New battery cup and hardware:

Re: RC10DS Conversion
New Black Wheels and hub caps, the chrome versions are extremely hard to find and the few sets I've come across the chrome has started to peel:
