Masami could beat most guys lap times, when driving with his feet (he demo'ed it during the 9... something worlds or Cactus Classic) might just not be a factor at that skill level-

I was at a race when Paul Lemieux's stretched steering spring on his radio came off, and he had to run the rest of the heat with a non-centering radio- he still managed a top 10 time 8)

Masami was like the pinball wizard. He used to practice doing things like turning around and driving the car while looking in a mirror or using bad tires to make the car harder to drive, real Karate Kid, wax-on, wax-off type stuff

(Not being racist, just can't think of any other unorthodox training methods at the moment).

I think that sums it up pretty well. I'm sure that he could take a car that even I put together all crooked and crappy and win with it. I guess my point is even if its crooked I'm sure it didn't matter

Old thread I know...LOVE the Yokomo bellcranks and that whole setup though. Are these available at all these days? I searched for "Yokomo RC10 bellcranks" but nothing...
