I was out of the hobby in the mid 2000's so I missed the whole transition. From what I can gather, brushed was still being used when the B3 was out but was it still being used when the B4 was introduced?
RC10 Short Arm | Novak Tempest ESC | Tamiya Torque Tuned 25T | Savox 1258 | Stealth Trans w/ Exotek Slipper Eliminator (geared 24/81)

I have been unable to find a comparison chart between brushed and brushless motors. For example, a 10.5 turn brushless is equal to a __ turn brushed.
I want to place a new brushless system in my RC10T and want to make sure I will not overpower the...

GTB's are programmed with the setup button:
With the B4, you should be able to gear the 17.5 high enough to give you plenty of speed to clear the jumps. The 17.5's like big pinions! I ran 28/81 in my RC10 with the 2.25:1 stealth. Final drive...
i've been doing some looking around and comparing the different brushed and brushless set ups. any ideas on which to go with?

i have the origional servo, speed controller and radio reciever ( not sure if they work) i'm just lacking a radio controller and a motor, i wanna go with period correct parts but no place has them, and no one seems to have any thing that will work...
A rather simple question,
If the motors are mostly equal, say both are for stock class, will the same battery pack last longer with the brushless motor or will the run time be the same.
I'm asking because, 1) I read that brushless is more efficient,...

im still in the middle of it
i when lipo first to get good battries .. and boy did it like it
at this point i have 3 brushed set ups and 1 brushless .. i couldnt beleve the diffrance in motor temps .. havent noticed run times yet as i race and...
I read a similar thread in another forum, but value the opinions in this forum more. How long do you give brushed motors? I personally hope they stick around forever. I love playing around with the tuning. Brushes, springs etc... It's always amazed...

No boost system, great price.
is speed passion any good? i've never heard of them
Ok, so first off I know these are like apples to oranges, but....
I just started working on rebuilding a JRX-T runner and I'm already think of what to power it with. I want to go with modern electronics, but keep the truck a similar speed to what...

Thanks everyone! I'll probably end up using a 21.5 and playing with gearing to get the speed about right.
I put a Turnigy 2C 4200mAh shorty lipo in the Raider today after a little encouragement from my Dremel. Wow, what a difference from a 25 year old NiCd! It was actually pretty quick (as was the Ultima with same battery when the diff was working). It...

I agree the numbers are confusing and don't tell the whole story, RPM isn't the best way to measure the actual power of a motor. I do know that I replaced a 23t brushed motor with a 17.5 brushless, and the power was similar. 10.5t may be stretching...
My brain is turning but I'm not getting nowhere quick
I'm sure there is a chart somewhere out there to tell us what the equivalent brushless motor turns are to brushed motor turns. Maybe this can be a quick and painless fix for me and possibly...
Let's see if we can do this. Just your rant, no responses so we don't argue.
Sort of the industry I guess. I'll start, every RC car video vintage or otherwise with crappy music dubbed over it. Music is personal, most won't like my crap or yours....
