That's a sweet radio set Brian, can't say I've seen an old Airtronics like this one but when they look like brand new they sure are cool.

Cool to find an early wheel radio in such minty condition - the case looks very much like a 'Digifleet' 6 channel controller my dad brought in the mid-late eighties for our planes - but that looked 'retro' even back then compared to the mainstream alternatives from Futaba etc.

My question, is how do you hold it during operation? - I presume the lever on the R/H side is the throttle - but it all looks a bit awkward to me?

Over here its always been the norm to use stick radios - wheel or 'gun' controllers were considered to be what you always got with 'Toy' grade stuff - although i've noticed an increase recently in the use of wheel radios - but I think thats because manufacturers are increasingly not offering the stick option :?
