All Tamiya run
Met up wit fellow TC member Crash Cramer today for a run. He brought his Nissan King Cab and VW Beetle. I brought my XC Brat, vintage Grasshopper, and Datsun 240Z rally car. Had a good time and did'nt break anything for once.
Crash's VW
This little thing was moving.
My Brat saw limited action.
Time to hit the dirt.
The Datsun 240Z is a beast on the baseball diamond. The Tamiya rally block tires work well and hook up nicely. Rooster tails everywhere. Easily one of my favorite runners.
My vintage Grasshopper is no punk either. I put the Proline Octo-grab tires back on and with the Green Machine 2 and old school Tamiya 1200 hump pack it was flying. I still can't belive that a 25 year old battery can hold such a strong charge for soo long.
Stepping on the gas from reverse, the tires dug a deep enough hole that it actually got stuck.
The old TA02 chassis collects a lot of dirt.

Very cool. I love the beetle and all the detailed stuff in the back of the brat. Where do you even find that stuff?

Thanks. You can find scale stuff at dollhouse shops, online stores like RPP Hobby and TCS Crawlers. I find stuff at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Jo Ann Fabrics in their doll house sections. Here's a better view of the Brat bed (currently).

Very cool indeed! The kids and I had their two Grasshoppers and the Frog (and the DF-02) out last week but I didn't take pictures.... too busy playing and charging. Next time tho.
I'm disappointed Crash didn't have his Hotshot-- tell him civilguy says hello!

Re: All Tamiya run
Meijer sells the micros for about $15. I also saw a commercial on TV selling them for way too much. You should be able to find sheets of styrene at your LHS or Tower Hobbies.[email protected] wrote:I've never seen the micro tamiyas. Where do you get those?

Do you have a website I can find those? I can't seem to find anything when I google them. Thanks.

Check Walmart: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10394
Or search QSteer or Q-Steer on eBay.

Re: All Tamiya run
I've seen the Fox, Avant, Hotshot, Hornet, Grasshopper, and online, I saw a Buggy Champ. That's the one I'm looking for. They run pretty well but have limited range and run time. Try "micro terrain titans". That's what my box said. On the bottom of the buggy it does say Q-Steer, so I'm guessing they are licensed out and packaged differently for different markets.
