I only have a few RCCA ads and a couple articles in RC Model Cars to go on, but JG made an RC10-based racing truck in the early 90s. It looked to have a custom wide suspension arm setup, the old wide-offset wheels, extra long front shocks, and possibly a few different graphite chassis. One ad showed two trucks, one with a regular style chassis and another with cutouts for saddle packs. These came out just before trucks like the RC10T, the last of the original 'buggy conversion' trucks. It was also offered in a lowered oval version.
Any pictures or more information? RCCA never did a review that I saw, it's almost like it never existed. I can dig out the RCMC article and scan it soon.
Well, with my pile of parts it turns out I have collected enough parts to put together 90% of another truck. I always liked the looks of Kyosho ST's, so this is the hodgepodge I came up with.

I finally dyed the battery box and made some new low profile shock towers to fit the SRT body, so far so good. The front tower is 10mm shorter and the rear tower 18mm shorter while still retaining the stock shock angles. I just need to make the rear...
Maybe I'm really starting to lose it but does anyone else remember Tamiya making static models of guns? I want to say it was around 87/88ish. I remember the Hobbytown I went to had them next to the r/c cars and the one that sticks out was an AK47....
Was just dosing on the couch and was thinking of the 4X4 conversion for the RC10
Now I do not remember the belt drive version?? I first seen the conversion in Texas 85-86-87? was a flex shaft coming off the tranny and going to the front drive!...

Cable drive, did somebody say cable drive? All I have left from the cable days is this front gearbox. Note the square drive in the center of the top gear. The funky part was the front driveshafts. Or should I say hooks. Wire hooks that were bent in...
Hey guys been awhile since I been on the forum. I bought the all white SRT off Ebay last week.
And I was missing a few white parts. I took the white battery bar and stub axles off my TCP(they were in mint condition). I replace the transmission and...

Hey guys. Busy week. Anyways I was at the hobbyshop and found 1955r . What's confusing is they are the same as the 2555 they were selling. Maybe traxxas has some rare updated 1955r in white. Also no luck with the steering spindle in white. Also...
Hi, New here and coming from the Traxxas vintage forum. I have a huge thread about my SRT. I'll like to share it with everyone here and show what Traxxas really had going for it. Personally, the SRT and TCP are the greatest RC vehicles ever made. I...

But in hindsight, it would probably still be sitting in the same box if I had it today.
It still is but with a few more parts added to it
You had your hands on the shock tower here lately also
Well, I have been reminiscing about my younger rc car days as I have been rejoining the rc ranks.... and I have two questions I can't seem to find an answer to...

I just want to remind everyone to say thank you to a soldier or someone who serves your community, not just on 9-11 but every chance you get. These volunteers appreciate an uplifting thought when the world seems to be so negative.
