Interesting find Pete. But what I find even more interesting is your new picture in your sig. Man it looks hilarious, do you have a larger pic of it?

The spare tire carrier even has a picture of the tamiya Wild Willy.

Be interested to find out who makes this.

Ok here is a little more information ... some guy has asked this on the auction: It's not Tamiya and it's not Marui ( I have both). I also have one of these, and I believe they were sold under the Conquerer brand (as shown on the sticker on the back). It is a Wild Willy "clone".

Anybody heard of Conquerer before?

There you go Jason bigger picture as requested

And heres the latest reply as to this cars heritage:

I suspect it's made by "Toy House Manufacturing" or "Toy House Corporation" in Taiwan, haven't managed to find any pics to confirm, still looking... bennie1 (325 ) 9:39 pm, Fri 13 Nov

Was the Tamiya Wild Willy a clone itself

Post by Ayk Viper »

This very thorough Japanese site raises doubt as to whether the Wild Willy may even be a knockoff of the Tomy 4wd Army Commander...the similarites are incredible.

By the way the not just boxart, but box cutaway art of the Rat Buggy on page 2 is breathtaking.
