The ball was not included in the kits, it was a hobby shop item only.

I googled "clod" and the Wiki definition is this,

Clod: {noun} What's left in the wake of a set of Proline 8086 Stubbie tire that is covering the
front of the competition.

or

Clod: {noun} Halgar and Lowgear, after eating 20lbs of bacon one morning together both died of an acute "clod" in the femoral artery last month, on the same day.
