I use a 80 Watt soldering iron for the batteries (I would say 100 is a little bit too much, but that's just my opinion...) and a 60 Watt for motors and speedos...

Does anyone have any experience with the Hakko clone soldering irons? I need a new small soldering iron and would love to buy an older Hakko but they don't seem to be available here. I always wanted one when I was younger.

I'm gonna fit a Le Man 240ST to my Raider with a M.Troniks ST350PB ESC and could do with some advice regarding soldering the caps on the motor.
The instructions advise 3 x 100nF 50v caps be added to the motor though I don't know what to ground them...

no great trick to that, if the motor is a closed endbell, the best you can do it keep the effective solder area small and near the top, or just leave those caps off, and double up the ones that are across the positive and negative. See if you get...
