I have an old RC10 with gold tub chassis that I bought around '89 or '90.Its been stored away for 20 years and its in very good condition.
I recently got back into RC cars (Ive been flying model airplanes for years) with a friend of mine just for fun, not for competitive racing.
Id like to rejuvinate this cool classic by installing modern radio gear and a brushless power system.
My question is this: Are there any currently available Wheels that are a direct fit ? I dont want to use the stock wheels and tires. In fact they are still new in the packages because I put after market wheels on it during the build, but I dont Know what I did with them.
Could someone please give some suggestions for a source for wheels and tires?
Thanks!
I'm looking on ebay to see if there are options for modern 2.2 aluminum wheels but not finding much. I know the options of Sees and Tecnacraft ($$$) for vintage RC10's, but what about B2's, B3's, and B4's? All I'm finding are rock crawler truck...

Is this gonna be for another heavymetal build for a b3 or something? Just curious...

Hah! Yes, another but trying to use FT blue components where available and FT graphite in others.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify these buggy tires. I also have the matching fronts with same tread. They say ae T.Q.-20 made in Japan 6820 . I've tried searching all over the forum and elsewhere on the internet and all I came up with...

Think they are the pyramid spikes as shown on this info sheet that came in my RC10 box.
I am working on restoring my old A-stamp RC-10, and I was kind of thinking of doing some racing. I know there are a few options out there to do 2.2 inch wheels and tires, but I was hoping I could get something a little more...

I designed a set of 2.2 jelly beans with plans of 3d printing them but they ended up being too expensive. Might do them anyway for the cool factor but need to save funds.
Ill make them available for purchase (shapeways) but need to verify sizing...
I am looking for an alternative tire for my HPI Vintage 8 spoke wheels. I have Vintage Racing tires mounted but I need something with a higher profile that will give a beefier muscle car look.
Ok I'm at my wits end with this and I would like any help. I missed the boat when they were making tires and rims for the RC10 a few years back. I know there are rims still being made by JConcepts but tires are the bane of my existence. I'm willing...

Doug
I did dye the wheels for the Houge before I painted them.
Totally forgot about that until just now
They took dye as well as any other nylon I have done.

Thanks Chuck, that’s good to know. I could order a few sets in white then dye...
I realized that even with the wide RPM arms my jrx-T is very narrow with modern wheels on it due to the dirrerent wheel offset. Has anyone tried to put something like holeshots or bow-ties with foams onto Vintage Losi 3-piece wheels? Will they fit?

anthony, you could've grabbed a set of hpi super star mt wheels. then you wouldn't have had any backspacing issues. i ran then on my junior-t all the time bitd.
