a better composite craft setup?

Post by asashaw »

Disappointed by having to cut the rear bulkhead so much (since it looks so ugly when cut), and the fact that i don't own anymore rear a-arm mounts, i decided to search for an alternate. I came up with RPM # 70575 Rear mounts for the B3 or T3. I cut them down slightly and drilled one extra hole per side on my junk chassis... everything (dog bones / axles) lines up great (about 1/4 inch back from stock position) and you dont have to cut the bulkhead. do you guys think it's worth drilling a mint composite craft chassis to accept these so you don't have to cut the bulkhead.... opinions please

personally, i wouldn't drill the chassis. but that's just me. it also looks like the motor (if you installed one) would hit the a-arm. i could be wrong about that, it just looks like it would.

i have a pr. of 3 degree worlds rear arm mounts if you'd need them. brand new.

motor clearance?

Post by asashaw »

I haven't tried to fit a motor, but i think it will fit, the suspension mounts are shorter from the top then the stock ones, but i agree i dont really want to drill a perfect chassis, even if it allows me not to cut out the rear bulkhead for arm clearance... pm sent. thanks scr8p

I don't think I would have drilled the chassis either. So I guess you won't be needing my extra worlds mounts afterall?

in the side by side shot, it doesn't look as far back as it did in the other pic. it'd still be close, i think.
