1985? RC10 Buggy with "A" Chassis

Post by DAS100 »

I believe, I bought this RC10 buggy around 1985 but it could have been a little bit later or earlier. When I bought my new RC-10 in 1991, I totally dissembled this car right down to almost every nut, bolt and gear (What was I thinking?). This car should be nearly 100% complete when it comes to the parts, but it's possible I may be missing more parts then that. I'm not sure if I'm going to restore this car.

I would clean it up and put it together......if you aren't that interested in it, someone might want an earlier car, and unmolested/modified ones, even partial rollers, are more desirable to collectors.....

Thanks for the advise.

I think that's what I'll do. I'll clean the car up, and start to carefully assemble it. Once the car is assembled, I'll know what parts are missing, and it will be easier to decide what to do with the car. If it turns out, I can complete the car without investing a lot of money or time into it, then I’ll keep it and finish the restoration.

If it turns out that it will take a great deal of time or money to complete the car, I'll either trade, sell, or donate it.

Although I'm not certain at this time, I believe the RC-10 is a 6016 model.

I would think you should be able to find any part that you might be missing rather easily, especially if you continue to participate in this forum, and get enough posts that you can use the B/S/T section.
