Motor info help

Post by Frogwagon »

Does any one know anything about this motor? I have no clue what turn it is or anything. I got it about 5 years ago in a box of odd and end stuff i won of ebay. All i know is with a HPI SC-15 esc it will flip a king blackfoot over on its lid lol. Ive looked every where and nothing comes up, its a Team Losi Monster Truck Motor, let me know if you find something, thanks for the help!

Team Losi's Revolution MTM can be a 19-douple or an 18-quad. If You open the endbell, it will be easy to see is that amature double or quad.

This is the first purple can Revolution that I see or might it be possible that the sticker was removed from original can and than reinstalled to another can/motor? If so, that can be Tritiny can/motor.

It is a quad for sure because i just had it re-balanced. Ive seen a few Revolution motors but this was the first with this kind of sticker that i've seen. If some one did swap the stickers they did a good job because it's perfect. How old do you think this motor is from the sticker and it being a quad?

here: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14170 is some info about MTM too. So yours is quad, so it's one of the newest MTM's.

All other Revolutions, that I have seen does look like those: (see pic)

On modified motors, the can is always black and endbell is also different. I think that those black can's are Yokomo cans, but this purple might be Epic/Trinity/"Ernie Provetti owned company"-made.
