Outdoor off road track in Dieppe, New Brunswick
I have been away for work for about 6 weeks, and now that I am back my wife has to travel for work . In fact, I didn't even make it home, I had to fly into Moncton, New Brunswick (where my wife is). I am stuck here for 2 weeks, then probably straight back to work in the field.
I know there is a outdoor offroad track near by, so I went looking for it. I found it just 14kms away, think that's about 8.5 miles . It's been raining and all I have with me is an incomplete RC10 graphite runner, BUT luckily for me I am going home this weekend. It's long enough to grab my gold pan runner and come back I am hoping that it's going to dry up. The track is really wet right now and not in the best condition...it is late October in Canada, only to be expected I guess.
This should at least give me something to do other than sit in a hotel room while the wifey is in meetings all day.
Here is the track. It's used mainly for 1/8 4wd buggy and 1/10 truck races. This track is the second closest to my house at almost 3 hours away, the closest is about 2 hours away I will try to get some action shots, but I am going to be by myself.

That's what I remember an off-road track should look like. No super high jumps. I like it.
Hope it dries out for you.

Reminds me too of a track I spent most of my time at in the early 90's.. Today's super jumps look cool but with my driving I always break stuff and not very good at nailing doubles and triples. I like navigating weeds and cracks in dirt, not that is skill

Re: Outdoor off road track in Dieppe, New Brunswick
maybe the track is period correct
I know one thing that is not period correct, and that's the flipping hotel motel my wife's company got us in. They just don't make bathrooms like they used to, no metal trimmed sinks, toilets where you cant tell if you peed in them when you know you have and slippery yellow banana tubs that you pull you groin in when there is too much soap on the bottom. I love the mosaic look to the tub though, very nice and how they saved the soap handle by reattaching it, great job. I like vintage RCs, and appreciate the character of vintage decor, but man this is tough to take. The place is so nasty that a lot of people complained and the meetings are moved to another, better hotel tomorrow along with all of us too
I think I see a theme for my next RC10

I thought about taking more than just 3 photos too. The was instructions on how to operate the shower on the wall that would have made a good photo. Appearently pulling and turning the nob was a odd concept back in the 70s. YES, very bored!

Still bored, but got a new hotel john and a new Xtreme RC Cars magazine for it too Thank god I get paid at the end of the month...soon I will be able to buy a few things for my current builds on line from the hotel. This new hotel also has a good desk that would make an excellent work bench new week
