Battery pack suggestions

I have a few older SCR type sub C packs that I would like to use in some shelfers, but they are showing signs of leakage. You know, crusty white junk around the shrink on the individual cells. Does anybody know what would work to either stop the leakage, or neutralize the growth of this wonderful stuff?

Vinegar should break it up and remove it- total discharge should help prevent re-occurance I believe-

I now have available battery straps for my transverse shorty pack battery cups, printed in Nylon.
I'll make these available at Shapeways in the next day or two, but for now I have 3 available for immediate shipment. The price is $8 plus shipping....

The width is 1.86 , and the length is 3.80 .
I've run several brands of shorty packs in them and they have all fit nicely. 8)

I can't believe how far the battery and motor technology has come. The sheer power and lightness is incredible. The field quick charger he uses was $2k by the time he bought a capable generator. I can't even afford the battery pack in this beast...

I think that speed control is not what you are after for a 10th scale car as that is the stock speed control for a RC18t/b/mt If you want a speed control in that same basic size/shape you may want to look at one of LRP's speed controls like the AI...

Finally available! Now there is another option for mounting battery packs in the RC10, no drilling required!. These battery cups have the same look as the originals, but have an added boss on them that allows them to bolt in to the existing holes...

I am limited by space. I currently run 2 single cell saddle packs. I need to run 2-2s packs for a total of 4s. Minimum of 60c, ~5000 mAh.

This is what I have to work with

You're right on the name, saddle packs is correct, I just couldn't think of what those were called.

I run shorty packs in my cars, which are about 2/3 the length of a regular pack. The saddles are about half the size of a stick pack.
