JRX2 / HyperDrive... WOOT!!! :)

Post by UltraHIVE »

Just finished the HyperDrive conversion and test ran my "shelf" X2. Thanks to highwayracer for the parts 8)
Its sooo quiet and smooth, wow. I'm running a 27t (slow a$$) stock motor, just putting around my driveway, so not to wreck or even slide.
Its actually more fun that way, to appreciate its art, within all of its beauty... :D

Heres a few more recent pics at the bottom of this thread...

With those old stock motors running backwards you are actually running 26 degrees of timing retard on the motor. It should have decent low end but less top end. You should use that setup on the mid motor car. It would be perfect.

yep, im working on that one too :)

for the timing issue, im building a new motor, same armature and endbell, black modified can, and adding a timing ring. just have to Dremel off the set notches so the endbell can rotate smoothly. i want it to go slow, but i also want it to look like its a real Losi modified, hense the black can. I'll use the proper color decal as well, yellow with dark maroon lettering :)
