Cheap Brushed ESC - Lipo Compatible

Post by RCveteran »

What is the cheapest option for a couple bashers, also needs to be Lipo compatible with the cutoff. The takeoffs of the new Losi RTR seem to go for about $45 on the bay but I also see some no name brands in the 20's. I have one of the Losi ones and know they work fine for what they are but saving a couple bucks would not hurt in this case.

No name example

have you tried one of the lipo alarms?
they are small circuit boards with pins that plug into the balance port and monitor the cells. it makes a lout alarm noise when the cutoff is reached on any one of the cells. works with almost any lipo and only costs a few$. I put velcro on the bottom, and a velcro dot on each lipo pack.

Second Anthony's option here. I still use them with my brushless systems just for the added security with my 10 year old daughter running. I picked up a pack of 5 of them for around $10 shipped from Japan.
