Shodog's RC10 collection

Post by shodog »

I have loved the RC10 since it came out. I only have a few of them but I have done my best to make each one of them really nice. I seek out rare and cool parts to make each one unique.

Hi shodog. Your RC10's are sweet! Gotta love the technacraft rims fo sho! You got some reeeeeeally tricked out tamiya cars too (extra sweetness!!!!). However, I now predict that you will be adding more rc10's to your collection..........

story of my life...

super sweet rigs dude. and your tamiya cars (like that uber pimped scorcher) are freaking awesome.

btw, the uber cool mip 4x4 ya got isnt a tq. the tq chassis doesnt show the weave in the graphite and has more 'pointy' angles.

Your right I think it's a graphite, is this correct?

Thanks for clearing that up for me. You ask me about Tamiya and I'll probably know it but I have a huge associated learning curve

well what do you know, a tq10 chassis just got listed on ebay!

http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-SCHOOL-RC10-GRAPHITE-CHASSIS_W0QQitemZ150078799378QQihZ005QQcategoryZ44017QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

its a pos, but you can see the more angular design.

Wow I had no idea that the TQ chassis was different from the graphite chassis.

Nice original car there mate. Are you making a runner or is this getting the full on glamour treatment?

I think this buggy is going to get a Composite Craft chassis, shock towers, and battery plate. Replace a few less than stellar parts and reassembled.

*sigh*

Now i am going to have to hunt down more RC10s, so to build up a few.

Curse you!!!!

Are the 4wd MIP kits worth it? do they function well? I always wanted one, but alas never had the $$ or the car till now.

I think they work okay but really the collectability is in their rareity. Here is my 4WD sand scorcher that has a cable drive.

The cable is really inefficient and has quite a bit of drag in the driveline

I am with Jim on this one. I really don't care if they work well, I just like them cause they are too dang cool. I just need to finish one up (which is my problem).
