What rims & tires can I get to fit an old MRC Baja King?

I need help finding rims and tires to fit my old MRC baja king. I can still use my rims if I can find some tires to fit them. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I had a couple of the Thunder Kings, luckily with decent stock wheels & tires, but sold them before getting into heavy mods.
I seem to recall that you can use TMaxx rubber on the stock rims but don't hold me to that. Here's an interesting thread on some modified Thunder Kings:

I have a Desert Thunder buggy, tires got flattened in storage. Wish I could find a set of these or a way to fix the ones I have ?

The MRC Baja King, released in 1993, was the stadium truck version of Model Rectifier Corporation's World Scale line. Designed as a racing model the kit came equipped with bearing in both the transmission and wheels, a low mounted stadium truck...

Early E/T - Maxx tires are 3.2, the newer stuff is 3.8. Switch was around 2006-2007 I think. 4970 is the early 3.2 tire part number.

This is a mrc baja king that was milled and raced by allec lane from a&l. this truck finished 4th in the dash for cash (here is the link to the issue it was raced) this truck also features a&l's frt/rear shock towers, a&l gear cover, a&l steering...

How similar is it to the Thunderking? Is it just body mounts and tires or is there more? Really want to build one but you only see the Thunderking's for sale.

The thunder king and Baja king were the same. Only difference was the body and tires....

Im looking for tires that fit 2.0 rims. Most everything on ebay that comes up in a search of 2.0 tires is a proline 2.0 which does not refer to size, but rather a version type and most are 1/8 scale. Anybody have parts numbers for different brands...

i am rebuilding my optima mid and was looking for some asphalt tires for screaming around my neighborhood. I found these that fit perfectly. just about the same dimensions as the original tires. They are for a hpi WR8. most 1/10 scale street tires...

My RC10 Gold pan restore project is going well. I thought that I had a set of tires to use but they do not fit. I have the three piece rims both front and back. What modern day tires can I use with these rims?

Go with some tamiya subaru brat tires in the back. They are 1.6in and fit perfectly. With its re-release, they are easy to find and have the best tread pattern for both street and dirt use. :wink: The only thing is that you have to trim out the two...

Are there any new/modern tires out there that will fit the early narrow rc10t rims? I would like to try out the narrow rims but I do not want to use the narrow AE tires I have since they don't exactly grow on trees. I think I remeber reading about...

I broke a wing mount on my Tamiya TL-01B (long arm / off-road (Buggy) version of the TL-01);
I believe this chassis was offered as the Baja King, and Baja Champ.

I have a question about the parts tree(s) that include this wing mount.
I found one...

Things like the arms are two piece, so you get one front and one rear assembly. Camber and sterring links, battery holders, etc are all one side. Front and rear bumpers iirc are the same on some.
