Who's the painter?

Post by Synergy »

So now that Eau Rouge is out of action (just as I get back in the game :( ) to whom do I turn?
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

My friend is interested in getting involved.

He is of the top airbrush artists (commercially) for Sports banners.

He use to race his R/C at the Ranch Pit Shop too...

Back when...he used to paint bodys for himself and friends.

I have known him for over 20 years. He said he would be interested in spraying bodys for profit, as he is no longer a hobbyist. He would setup about 15-20 of a particular style at a time. It would be during his "off season" from spraying banners and such.

He didnt give me a timeline, but I just talked to him about it again tonight, and he said in a few weeks when Baseball banner season is over he will look into it.

There's plenty of guys in the UK that offer a painting service... just look on Oople under the 'R/C graphy' section

I like to paint all my own shells - but i'm plucking up the courage to do a Masami style shell too... but I think it might be a bit more than I can manage :?

Since we are somewhat close, let me know if this pans out. I need to order a couple Protech's and get them both painted up (same for both bodies). I'm itching to have my car look like something decent instead of my hack jobs...

Thanks for the tip, I've used Blitzer Boy with mixed results, I've thought about giving John Miller a spin. This chap did a fantastic job on my Pro CAT http://www.airheadgraphics.com I might give him another go.

I have a Yok Works 91 shell that I need painting but I'm nervous about it getting ruined :( I was hoping to send it to someone that would appreciate how difficult they are to get hold of without me having to beat them over the head about it.

Noted. I am going to have him Paint a Protech in a couple of weeks (he is tied up with some photography projects) that is themed to my my " Custom RC10 Project " That is not yet revealed... It will give an idea of his self proclaimed "Mad Skills"

I met this guy in a hobbyshop in VA he's trying to get a painting business going. I am not promoting him but I did however buy one of his bodys. call him direct.
here is the body I bought it is 100% paint no decals at all.

How much do the painters typically charge for a body?
