Clodbuster JPS Tremor
Here's my latest project. The Thunder Tech Tremor has always been my favorite monster truck chassis. I had one a few years ago, sold it, bought another one, sold that one (both times I ended up wishing I hadn't sold) and then this one turned up on ebay a few months ago. Turns out it's actually MY first Tremor. I know becuase of the aluminum skids under and in front of the chassis, as well as the Kydex antenna mount I made for it. So, needless to say I was especially excited to see it on ebay and pressed the BIN for a bargain price. I added the TTR CNC'd sway bars to compliment all the aluminum that would be added later.
Then....JPS ran a heck of a special. I've always wanted a set of their gearboxes. I got the special, sold off the killer JPS chassis and kept the gearboxes. Also got a set of JPS wheels. Inside the gearboxes are TTR ball diffs, TTR CVD's up front and TTR solid rear axles in the rear. Trinity 17x2 Speed Gems wired to a Novak Super Rooster. Up front is a Hitec HS 5645 to steer the beast.
AE shocks with aluminum caps all around. (is there any other brand of shocks?)
So, right now it rests as a roller. I have to get a few parts and work a few things out. I'm waiting for Proline to release it's Chevy C70 long body. Not many bodies fit a Tremor, that one looks pretty cool and should fit nicely.
I can't wait to drive this thing. I drove the heck out of it when I originally had it, and it's hands down the best handling Clod I've ever had. The JPS gearboxes are a huge improvement over the stock ones, not just bling-wise, but much more importantly, design-wise. Just a better design all around.
Anyway, enough rambling. Can you tell I'm excited about this project?
