Sourcing Thorp diff parts

Post by abailey21 »

So I scored a Thorp diff for my blackfoot, and I'm stoked!

The diff is part number 4540 and it's the assembled diff with the yoke style outdrives.....

here comes my dilemma... I don't have the universals that would work on this diff, nor the outer axles.

I think this is more of please help me find some thread so if it needs to be moved to the wanted section please go ahead

I either need someone to help me find the universals for the thorp diff, or the Thorp part numbers 4501 and 4508 so I can run the stock half shafts

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure :)

This is an easy one. The original out drives were from the jrx2...but they were cut. The axles were from Thorp.

If you don't mind using something different, you can use the outdrives and axles from Traxxas. The have axles that are the exact dimensions as the ones used for the blackfoot. This is the version that uses the pin and the stock rear wheel hub.

The traxxas slider uses a slightly smaller hole than the losi...so it has to be reamed out slightly to work with the throp yokes.

Hope this helps....

I do have an old TRX Stampede with the universals.

Which outer axle from traxxas would work?
