The new ebay?
I decided to go hunting on ebay the other night and noticed a few changes that ebay made to their format that made navigating not only a challenge,it flat out sucks! There were fewer search options, and their operating speed seemed to be lacking as well. It also seems that ebay is more interested in shoving a bunch of advertising in your face, taking up space paid for by the sellers. After a few minutes of pure frustration,I shrugged my shoulders, threw up my hands, and went back to trolling craigslist. If Im selling something on ebay,I dont want to feel like im competing with a bunch of non related junk mail for attention. Has ebay lost touch with their own concept? Please bring the old format back. The new on is definitely NOT an improvement.

Yep, too many ads. I don't like how they made the item number smaller and moved it to the middle of the page.
And the BillMeLater thing is comical. The button trickery is really annoying...highlighting YES and asking if I want to use it three times while checking out is overkill.

The only time I ever go on ebay on a pc is when I'm shipping out. Otherwise the phone apps are 1000% better IMO. I can move around much more efficiently and find things much easier.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

I got an email from them recently with a long list of changes and I caught several things including the emphasis on bill me later.
I wish them a quick and horrific demise, a tombstone on the timeline of strategic business blunders as fleecebay continues to alienate their buyer and seller user base.

As I understand it from various articles I've read is that eBay doesn't want to be an online flee market/garage sale/estate sale/whatever else auction site any longer. They want to be an e-tailer like Amazon and thats what they're slowly shifting their business model towards.

Yup! I guess they've gotten tired of ripping off sellers and buyers and now want to move to ripping off retailers. Add to the long list of other companies that need to be removed from the face of the planet.Lowgear wrote:As I understand it from various articles I've read is that eBay doesn't want to be an online flee market/garage sale/estate sale/whatever else auction site any longer.
