Suspension and handling

Post by B3rc10 »

Hey everyone I picked my first rc car a few weeks ago, an rc10b3. I like the older buggies a lot. I plan on going brushless but first I want to upgrade my suspension and handing and do the hex adapters for the wheels. I have been reading posts on here and other rc forums but havnt been able to get clear answers and parts for the b3 arnt common so what would you suggest? Thanks

Even if you could get the 12mm hexes to adapt, the offset on all the current hex rims are all too deep to use on your B3

Not off the exo terra buggy from axial. Already had them on with plastic hexes off the slashes we rent at my work

The AE hex knuckles and B4 caster blocks should push out the front enough to use hex wheels in the front of a B3, and in the rear someone here has used Traxxas 1/16 E-Revo wheels on their RC10 with a hex adapter so it should work just as well on a B3.

I havnt got anything assembled yet just borrowed some hexes at work for a minute. I think I will need the longer aluminum axles in the front with b4 hubs. I might go with e revo rims but I want to find better tires.

Question tho, what is the pros of doin the long arm conversion? What are some good threaded shocks to use on it?

Are there any stronger front arms I can switch to?

There WERE graphite composite B3 front arms from AE. I'm sure there still are... you'll just have to LOOK for them.
