Turbo Scorpion 10mm shock springs

Any replacement or sources for Turbo Scorpion 10mm shock springs?
Made new shock collars and now looking for springs, have come up with nothing so far.

Your're in luck Mike. I had the same problem. Try Axial springs part numbers AX30205 red, AX30206 white and AX30207 green. The springs are 12.5mm diameter x 40mm long. They are all coloured grey but have a splash of colour on one end to denote the firmness of them. They fit really well. I have used them on my Kyosho Progress shocks which are 10mm diameter too. I will give them a try, thought making the collars would be the hard part till I started looking for springs!

how did you make the collars? I need some bad and might even have to find/make 8mm ones...

made them on a lathe, copied a set of old CRP collars I had.
They use a set screw to hold them to the shock

Although pricey, pargu2000 makes aluminum shock clamps for both the 10mm red shocks and the 12mm gold shocks. These have one distinct advantage over the collar-with-grub-screw style in that they won't damage the anodizing with little grub-screw divots. Unless it was for a shelf queen that I'd never need to adjust shock spring tension, I'd never install that kind of collar as I've seen the damage it causes to shock bodies & the anodizing.

I've used them back in the day, and always put a dab of silicone on the screw, let it dry, don't crank on it when installing them and they work for me. Might leave a mark, might not.
Beats a broken collar.

People can do what they like, but I figured the warning would be beneficial to help people avoid damaging their anodizing on shock bodies. I'd rather replace a collar than a shock body. I received a set of Kyosho Golds that some guy had used nylon collars with set screws in them, and each shock body had several round bites in the bodies, deep enough to go into the aluminum.

I know what you mean, have a few cars that have deep divots on the shocks, some guys can screw up a steel wheel
I just couldn't see paying $46 for collars, they are nice looking though.
Been wanting to make a few of my own parts and had fun making them!

ROH73 (Robert), a member here and made some really nice nylon collars for the 10mm shocks. He had them for sale and there was a thread on it, but it has gone the way of all BST threads. I bought a couple of sets from him but I've yet to install them.

Yeah, they were red nylon with set screws. It's true that pargu2000's stuff is overpriced, but sometimes you can make him a lower offer and he'll take it.

think iv seen both on e-bay... Iv got a set of NIP red 8mm shocks for my Turbo Scorpion. I really dont wana use set screws and screw em up. Iv got some used Kyosho red shocks for the TS but all my collars are busted so those will need collars too.
