I thought Mrs. Hyacinth Bucket (eh.... Bouquet) was UK based
Haha lmao ring, ring, ring "The Bouqet residence, lady of the house speaking"
How bizarre - the program 'Keeping up Appearances' is about as quirkily British as Marmite & PGtips & here it is being referenced on a predominantly US based forum
With regard to your cars - don't sell them if they mean that much to you, try & negotiate to display them somewhere else where you can at least enjoy looking at them.
Ah, the struggle between wife and hobbies. It's a constant battle that never ends. My cars stay in my hobby room and are not displayed in any other parts of the house. My vintage cameras on the other hand, I have two over flowing display cases in the living room. My off road Toyota stuff, it stays in the garage. It's just a matter of what you can get away with and knowing her tolerance
If I really pushed it I could easily display my cars in the more "high traffic" areas of our home. I keep up the act that she won't let me to gain leverage in the buying department. It's a plan I intend to stick with.

if i had a wife telling me to get rid of my stuff id Tell the wife that man has to have a hobby and that yours is going to be drugs, alcohol, other women, or drugs, alcohol, toy cars, it's her choice. to stay in that situation i think id need drugs/alcohol...im not a heman woman hater i can understand a wife not wanting some stuff in the living room, thats ok make her happy .making you sell something you care about that i cant deal with.
Before we moved to the new house I told her I was getting out of racing and getting into vintage. It was agreed between us that I could display 2 cars in the living room as long as I make them look new and build nice shelving for them. So 2 months later I have 2 shelf queens Iin like new condition and go to build the shelves and she totally shot the whole thing down knowing for the past months I spent countless hrs and money for this purpose. I did not do that to throw them in the dingy basement.
sounds like a man cave is going to be in the new house ... it sucks when you cant desplay what you like .. if i have a new trophy or action figure it will be displayed for a couple of months then ill see it get moved never to come back
Man ,it's been so long I cant remember what I did to keep the 3rd bedroom when #2 was born But I somehow talked her into closing in the second living room ,,what I do know is it took a BIG ring to let #3 "share" a room with her sister an I still got to keep my car room
No,no,baby I didnt just go to the hobby shop.......oh...you already checked the bank...uuhh
This car is about 10 racedays old and is just compltely awesome! I've played with a ton of setup options but stock just works the best. The only thing different from stock is 1.6 rear pistons and 27.5 oil. The rest is as per manuel. My electronics...
So a guy I race with saw my blackfoot(all original from '87) in the background of a pick i posted on our racing thread. Next thing I know he shows up at my house with a blackfoot and monster beetle. They are dirty but darn near complete. Also have...
I just purchased this for just under $80. It's dirty but looks to have a very low runtime. Supposedly he was the original owner. I cannot wait for it to get here. I'm gonna make it just like the one I raced back in '86 . Painted yellow w/ #17 on the...

His motors, Nicads and ESC...
Ok, so as all of you know with modern ESC's, chargers, radios pretty much everything can be tweaked and programmed with a PC. I've been a Mac user for the past 9 years and love it. I'm not an A-hole fanboy that says mines better than yours but Mac...

I'm more annoyed with the Germans, they usually don't sell outside of Germany yet they seem to be sitting on a huge supply of Kyosho parts. As they would still be selling inside the EU there isn't any problem with customs or duty, I get annoyed when...
