Edinger Motor Questions

Post by LTO_Dave »

I received this motor with some others yesterday, and have no idea what exactly it is. The Edinger label is a dark green/teal and not light green like the Champ kit motors.

The brush hoods don't wrap around the endbell and it has bushings. It also has adjustable timing marks on the side but the endbell is fixed. Was this ever included in any kits? Is it a 27T?

I'm no expert, but I would say it was made in 1984-85, and the marks are for adjusting the motor to make it go faster, or slower....I think. I had a Gold Tamiya motor year's ago that had the same thing.

maybe the guy thought it would be cool to put a timing sticker on the can?
1984-85 sounds about right.

Interesting find. I think I have seen that darker green label before, but I don't know anything more about it.

Is there any chance the timing marks were applied by a previous owner?
Although I don't really know how you would determine that? :?:

Very strange to have the timing marks with a fixed endbell...
