Gary Kyes painted JRx2 Bodies!!
If you dont know who Gary Kyes is, he is the Senior Production Manager for Losi and has been with the company since the Ranch Pit Shop days. He is also a member of the RC Hall of Fame.
The following pictures are from the Golden Years RC Facebook page. If the 2nd body looks familiar, I believe it was the body used for the cover car on the original JRx2 instruction booklet.
The narrative for the first body reads, "GARY KYES PAINTED LOSI JRX2 TRADE SHOW BODY."
The narrative for the second body reads, "GARY KYES PAINTED LOSI JRX2 Box Art Version.
This Body was one of the body color choices in the running for the Box Art, note the paper Jrx2 sticker pre-production."
I think I just found my next 2 bodies to copy!!

Me like!! Fantastic paint. Did he do those himself?
I would very much like to have one of those bodies for a buggy I have.

He did. Keep in mind, these bodies were painted in the late 1980's. Us vintage guys love the period correct parts including paint jobs.Diamond Dave wrote:Me like!! Fantastic paint. Did he do those himself?

The original 'thin' ones like this car would have had are notorious for splitting, so were probably removed when they did? - or pinched from the display model when the ones on a race car broke Bitd?LosiXXkid wrote:Just noticed that all the shock collars appear to be missing.....
