I'm always torn when it comes to bodies, they cover up my favorite parts of the vehicle.
I suppose it goes both ways; I think an RC car "show" project should have as much attention-to-detail in the chassis as with the body. You don't want to saddle up an ugly, scruffy, cracked or badly-painted body onto a beautiful chassis; nor do you want to have a beautiful body only to serve as window dressing for an ugly ghetto chassis. This doesn't pertain to runners, necessarily, but I think the model should be considered as a whole, from the tires to the paint, when it comes to attention-to-detail.

I can also see the point-of-view of keeping the body clear to show off the innards, but it's just not my personal preference. It just looks incomplete to me, but that's worth just 2¢. ;)
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

That Magnum AM radio and old school electronics really help give it a classic feel for sure.

I have mixed emotions about this one... but it's weird enough to tick the "cool" box
