Something a little different. Still kind of cool though. Old school 4wd pan car. This one has very little use if any. Body is pretty boring though. I did source a new body but it came in kind of beat up.

Damn long name... Thanks to Eau Rouge for first dibs on the car. I've located a bunch of nib parts (chassis, chain drive parts, alloy hardware set, etc) incredibly quickly as well as the manual and parts list, it's all about being resourceful......

If I ever do get around to building the new one I have, I certainly wouldn't try to paint it myself.

the fantom EXT came with the crc II body or BW spider and both of them are soooo goood loooking compared to the stock body

or blue as a conversion kit (cosmetics only!)

Is the first version discontinued for good, or just sold out?? Can't believe how tower hobbies can't get any stock of kyosho??

I don't really know the answer, but it is often repeated on the RCKicks FB group that Kyosho has not officially...

This car is on a local auction site for $160 are 4WD on road cars like this rare?

If this is NZ$160 with low shipping in my view that's a pretty good price as the major 4wd parts look there.

This is an earlier non-EXT version which is more rare but less desirable. The Kremer Porsche body is one of the rarer ones if it can be...

Today, I started something... For the small story, I had a Kyosho 1/12 back in the eighties, it was 4WD, there was a chain, and a one way at the front, and a prototype body... I did not have a proper place to run it at that time, so it was sold...

Found a Fantom re re from Japan, its on the way. Curious what esc others are using. The Lemans 240S is really heavy. I want to keep a vintage kyosho theme, so I guess I'll stick with the lemans esc but its like a lead weight.

Yep - FANTOMS are seriously collectible. NIB kits used to fetch well over 750 dollars on a regular basis years ago. Havent seen a NIB example for a while, but for 250 for a new built - well I would say that is a deal.

With the soon to be released ReRe Fantom, I decided to pull an original I had started a few years ago. I can’t locate the front dog bone/swing arm. If I can get a photo and dimensions I may be able to fabricate. I’m also not sure how the diff action...
