That is a "cut" brush. In theory you can run one brush up and one brush down to reduce drag and wear on the commutator. It does not appear to be "timed" though.

Something clever goes here...

So I was testing some vintage electronics tonight, and noticed that the brushed motor I had seemed to run at full throttle just fine if I increased the throttle slowly, but not if increased quickly. Most of the time. Sometimes it just worked fine....

- 27000rpm
Same specs as posted above.
Actual dyno run data on a sticker (performed not by me): 29800rpm, 162w, max. efficiency 73.8%....

Anyone run a Kyosho K Speed Heli Special Mod motor in a buggy? I have one and it apparently a 14 turn double wind. Any info would be awesome, I got a great deal on it at a LHS and Kyosho discontinued it. Amazon has someone trying to get 217 euro out...
