New Built YZ-10

Post by railey72 »

This one is new built with used electronics. Mostly stock except the RPM rear diff housing. I believe the a-arms are from a newer version but maybe someone can help me on those. Nice paint and underbody. I bought this one a little while ago and it still needs to be cleaned up. I might paint up a body like the YZ-10 ads because I like that paint scheme a little better.

Nice ride. The A-arms on your car look like they are machined from nylon or delrin but keep the same geometry as the stock arms. (I have a similar set but they are wider than the stock A-arms). Definately aftermarket or custom parts.

Are you referring to the Team Associated advertisement 'For the Serious Racer'? The YZ10 is painted up in a mainly blue colour.

Yes, that's the paint scheme I like. I guess it is just the one that comes to mind when I think YZ-10. I was thinking the arms were possibly machined my someone but they are almost too nice for that. I think I have seen a newer version with arms that are similar? Not sure.

Does anyone know who made these a-arms? Where they production, aftermarket or one-off machined?

Thanks for the input Asso_man and Dual. Just wondering if anyone knows who made them if they are aftermarket. It seems like I have seen them on another buggy before.

I have something similar on a couple of dirt cars, made by Dynotech out of nylon. They look almost identical, but I don't think Chad has been making parts long enough to do Yokomo parts like that. Unless those are the same sizes as RC10 items.

He can pretty much make you anything you want out of just about any material.

That's one of my custom pieces...
