j-sou's RC1

Post by j-sou »

Just got this ride a few days ago. I got a great deal on it and had the intention of just flipping it, but like many cars I started to like it more and more once I got it out of the box. Now I'm really tempted to get it running before doing anything else to it. Well, before I start rambling... here's pics

Not the front bumper I thought came on the RC1 :?

body prop rod- hooks onto the front bumper and extends up into the body post holes. Pretty cool! can't say I've ever seen one though. I'm not sure if it was an original part or not. Seems kind of pointless for refueling if the tank is in the back. :?

The paint on the body just peels off. I'm guessing it wasn't paint made for polycarb.

The paint could be stripped and the body resprayed, but there are a few spots that are beyond repair.

I found a re-pop of this body, and some other that would fit. I need to research what bodies were available at the time this car was in production.
