Strange behavior from FlySky radio?
80's gold pan converted to BL/lipo/dsm
Or maybe it's the motor/esc combo, which I should mention is:
So, a stock Team Associated brushless motor/esc combo. And the FlySky radio people here were pushing.
Sooo, what's happening? Well, every so often, several times during a run, if I go hard on the brakes and stay on for too long, it actually stops braking and accelerates... All while holding the trigger full forward in max braking. If I do small amounts of braking everything is fine... It's only when I lay into them and stay on them that this happens.
Anyhow, I want to chase this down and don't know where to start.
In the mean time I do my bashing in a place where I have room to coast to a stop if I have to.

can you get it to happen regularly enough that if swapped the steering and speed control (making the wheel control speed and trigger control steering) you could see what it does on the bench? If the steering goes wonky you know its the radio, if it still goes full throttle your looking at esc

That's an odd problem, haven't heard of that one before...but it sounds like it could be a calibration issue. Have you tried recalibrating the throttle set-points?

Re: Strange behavior from FlySky radio?
Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.
I haven't tried recal yet.
I should add that when I'm completely stopped and go to full braking, sometimes it reverses and sometimes it doesn't... it's very balky and indecisive about it.
I hope its not the speed controller. It was brand new.

Re: Strange behavior from FlySky radio?
Could be the pot on the throttle trigger, or could be something else wonky. Only way to tell is to rule out parts one by one
