They addressed the gear box with me, to the point that I sent my Stealth in and it was rebuild and checked out free of charge (just shipping). I dealt with Don and Nick, and I was take care of! So far, it seems that AE has step up to address the issues.

I have the exact same issues that you do. Slipper pinned against the motor plate, rough trans, and one binding CVA. I broke out my calipers and determined that the binding CVA has an axle pin that is not drilled properly, it's not centered. The other axle pin is centered correctly and doesn't bind when I assemble it with either CVA bone.

janaya wrote:I'm just about done building my kit and I have the top shaft issue with the rubbing and binding of the slipper hub. I also have one CVA with some really bad binding when it's moved in any direction. Already emailed AE to see what they can do it was too late to call. Other then that it went together really well and was a joy to build.

yep had the exact same problems as you have orangemazda, with the exception of a hole in the Chassis on my sons world's
the tranny is fixed with a B4 topshaft and 1 X pack through it at moderate to low RPM's, for the CV i just re drilled the holes 90* around ( thats the limit of my ability)
all good after that

After I got my replacement parts I came to find that my CVA issue was due to some burs on the CVA axle where the bone fits into. I used my rotary tool and smooth out the burs and it works smoothly now.

I wonder if they're trying to clear out the first batch. Web special for $199 http://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/6002/

I just ran into the slipper problem, which looks like the same top shaft as the top shaft from the US trans kit. Both look cut shorter than an old used one I have laying around. Funny thing is the US kit didn't bind up.

You might be right, that's a good price I might have to pick up a second one for that price.
