lmao!
It took me a while to loosen the grip on the end of my shaft after trying to slide it in and out of that tight hole but I managed to let go long enough to upload the video to youtube for those non FB people.
Simple, just remove the shock shaft and orings, run a drill bit thru it, wobbling side to side to clearance it, then reassemble. That's how the (eBay) pros do it Lmao!
That's probably one of the first shock bodies I have seen misbuilt. Usually for me it's a non threaded shock shaft
Associated will send the new on in no time. You won't know it's coming but they ship lightning fast

Think I saw somewhere on here a guide on where (or how to work out where) to drill the buggy bodyshell in the correct position so that you get a nice clean hole, that lines up with the front body post - taking into account the fact that the post is...

I think I recall scr8p mentioning to cut the body hole some point further forward than where the mount touches the body in a thread somewhere, so you aren't just dreaming that.
Ive seen some on ebay lately, and one went for around 15 BUCKS shipped. Are they truely rare as the auctions say?
I ask because I have one. 8) , or not 8) ?

Just saw another go for $15. So, I guess mine will have to be put on the block. I dont have to be that much by the book , when I have SO many other things I need way more.
These came on a car I just got. they are aluminum and have a set screw to clamp in place. the springs are recessed inside the clamp. Home-made or a production piece?

These are the CRP/RCH shock clamps
The two set screws are 90 degrees from the each other.
The way these allow the spring up inside reminds me of the early CRP coilovers for the SRB's Obviously these are much larger but similar in design....
got a question for you guys. who made the shock towers for the rc10gt who allowed you to use touring car shocks to slam it to the ground the company i think started out with custom somthing i wish i never sold mine

it sucks the shop closed we were the only decent one in the general area and i loved the job although i was in the back alot of the time but it was a great group of guys i worked with and i was able to do the job in my chair and the owner sa that...
Never seen one like it, has the sheen of isotropic carbon fiber(like composite craft), looks like it's the outer layers with another type of filler, maybe weave or something.
I bought this for nostalgia, I used to see this body in RCCA but cant remember who made it, As you can see its a Turbo Optima JG conversion, I have been replacing warn parts on it for a wile, someday i will have it like new hopefully lol.

I think there's a McAllister version that looks similar.
