CAT 2000 EC SE 98 / CAT 3000 Universal chassis

The CAT 2000 series (EC SE 98) and CAT 3000 share many parts but they have different motor and battery layouts. Is a universal chassis with holes to support the different layouts feasible or is there a significant difference between the layouts?

For example all versions utilize the same front trans housing (U1500) but the rear trans housings are different. Are the trans housings angled the same amount?

So, Im taking apart my cat 3k to repro the parts, and it looks like the diffs are pretty scratchy. Ive got the diffs apart, and it looks like there arent any thrust balls or any kind of thrust assembly. Is that correct? Just loosening the diffs made...

Since the CAT SX3 is about to hit the shops, i decided to run my CAT 3000 for it's final ever proper race.

I've not run this particular car for a long time as i also have a standard CAT3K that i've used in 4wd in the past, but even then not very...

Just curious on the difference of the Cat XL, XLS & Pro Cat.

I can't tell the difference looking at my Cat XL to Pro Cat as i'm sure they aren't 100% standard.

From memory the Cat XLS has chrome wheels, Sway bars & one Way. Not Sure.
