I'm using the same tools, but you should never look too close on any of my parts: no patience and a shaky hand
I have lots of 0 shaped holes rather than round: the drill allways seems to drift and then i have to make 'corrections'

Hahaha not for the want of trying. I have loads of belts which I don't need now

But I have the solution thanks to Tak and am ready to build my runner. I have some nice 2.2 wheels and tires and the correct belts and pulleys (4 of each), and just need to start chopping up a chassis....I will be using a trashed Wonder Dog Fighter as a drill and cutting guide, then adding the battery slots from an optional RPS graphite chassis.

I am also hopefully going to be able to mod. some Team Suzuki wheel hubs which should look trick!

So much to do lately! Yikes.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm eager to see if you have any updates for us. I'd love to do this with my SE.

BTW-It may be just the cobwebs in my mellon talking, but I seem to remember there being a belt conversion on the market for these Yokes back in the day. I remember it being EXPENSIVE (believe it came with a new chassis, center brace, etc) and tempermental. Like I said. May just be my faulty memeory mixing things up. There were of course later belt drive Yokes, Optimas, and there was a belt drive conversion for the chain driven Optimas.

Soooo..............any progress??? :?:

Hi, yes, there is some broad process. Thanks a lot for your interest. The chassis has been part built for a while but I haven't had time to take pictures. I will do when it's finished. Cheers.

Great job, love to see it up close like this.

May I ask what are the front steering hubs? which front axle and dogbones did you use?

Also, in such modification, is there any front differential, or is it oneway as per normal??

Thanks in advance.
