Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
Thanks for the support guys.
If I didn't have the parts business as well I would be in a big hole now because of the bodies. These delays are frustrating.
I was going to do more injection molded Losi parts but MRLEXAN selling his stuff made me change plans.

Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
mytimac, I'm just gonna say there are many guys here that are really happy you are investing in this. I'd like to think you will have a great return on investment on these, while there are diehard losi guys that want parts, the lexan has a greater potential audience. Many thanks! Hope all the issues get wrinkled out (literally)

Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
The good news is the molds are all at the new plant now. So hopefully in 6-8 weeks I might have some more bodies. Might be a little longer because I am sure it will require them to do a little testing and messing around to get things right for full production. Many years ago they use to run 1/4th scale RC bodies. But never bodies this small.

Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
I haven't seen anything mentioned about a Traxxas SRT/LS-II body, but I would pay for one or two of those..

Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
Ok the latest batch of bodies is done and on the store. But not everything is sunshine and rainbows again. It seems to be hard to find a good production source.
The RCPS Turbo Mirage Body, 12th Scale Greenwood Vette, and the Andy's Toyota ST all came out good.
12th Scale Greenwood Vette http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4119
Andys RC10T Toyota ST http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4120
RCPS Turbo Mirage http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4123
The Yokomo bodies got it the worst. For those interested in these I have discounted the price. But please do not feel obligated to buy any if you had previously talked of being interested. Only buy one if you do not mind some issues or looking for an affordable runner body.
870C http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4118
The 870c had the best results. The tray got it it the worst. Tray has a bubble from air being trapped during production. This part is a little too smooth and traps air. Some day it will have to be roughed up a little or escape hole added.
Yokomo/Associated Protech IV http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4121
Numerous pimple like spots are on the body and tray.
Yokomo Werks http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=4122
Numerous pimple like spots are on the body and tray. Guy at the factory also had a bad day and removed the film from the wrong side of the plastic.
Sand Scorcher Body http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=3926
These bodies have some errors. The guy at the plant had a bad day with these. He peeled off the wrong side of the film and also didn't notice the debris stuck to the mold.
Now I know some are going to ask if we will try again on the Yokomo bodies. Yes, we will but not in the next run, we will try to sell some of these first on the store and eBay. We don't want to have a bunch of money tied up in the same bodies. We would rather get some others bodies into production.
As a bonus right now, there is a discount for buying 25$ or more of our brand bodies like these. Save 4$ when you enter the code SABULABODIES at the cart screen. It will also show the code at the cart to remind you of the available discount. So if you buy 2 bodies you save 4$.

Re: Vote for bodies to be made.
At this time all body production will cease. We are not going to do any more new production for the year. This may be permanent. Going to spend time and resources on more profitable things.

Thanks for popping the ones you did, dude. It keeps me warm at night knowing folks like you are keeping the vintage flame burning.
Which goes for pretty much everybody here as well!

Cheetah. That's all need be said, just ignore these other guys... Seriously, if that produces a nice body, throw a few on Ebay & see how they do (So I can buy a couple Bwa-Ha-Ha.) Chris REC
