One of many projects that is finally finished. This was my old 12LW carpet racer from the early 90s. A long time ago, the car lost the main shock and was shelved up until recently. It took a while to finish due to the missing shock. Thanks to fellow member a01butal! He sent me the complete part and I was able to finish the car. Here is how it looked before.
This build was mostly a tidy up using several period electronics. Novak receiver and T4 ESC along with 20 turn x3 LightSpeed motor. My old futaba servo died during testing so I used a high speed A5030 Spektrum in its place. The body is a Parma Mazda and is painted with a simple theme. The 4 cell battery still works after all this time but will mostly serve display duty. Now time to work on another.....
This winter, when tidying my attic, I found back my old toys including a RC12LW I bought in 1993 when I was a teenager. This car almost never ran, maybe 100m of test drive in my parent's house driveway.
The box later suffered from a flood in...

I'm new to the forum, and still a novice when it comes to R/C. I still have my cars from when I was a kid, both an original Grasshopper and a RC-10CE. I got the notion the other day to see if they still ran, and was surprised to see the...

You can increase the end point adjustments on your servo, assuming your radio is able to do this of course.
I used to race a RC10L on an indoor carpet track back in the early 90's. One of my best friends from highschool was always interested but was more into off-road. He picked up a RC10T and when I wasn't indoor racing, we'd go out and bash on that...

Nice car.... you sure pick up some bargains!
Thanks, i think it's maybe because vintage 12th is a bit unloved? I'm not sure why they go so cheaply, but i'm not complaining either
I noticed the other day that the rear hubs aren't like the...
I always wanted a fiberglass 12L as a kid but no tracks in my area raced 1/12 scale. Fast forward about 25 years and I finally picked up a sealed 12LW graphite kit. I need a 64-pitch spur and to trim a body and it will be finished.

You have some impressive builds lately! It would be so tempting to give em a run just to break them in a bit! I want to get several more pan cars but had to hold off after looking at my workbench!🤔
