More AE parts being discontinued

Post by XLR8 »

I just recieved an email notice then checked AE's website to confirm.

https://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/6867-ASC6867-rc10wc_decal_sheet/

Going forward, I guess we'll need to buy this decal set from MCI.

Is there another option?

I'm glad I didn't cut mine or used anything from it. I'll put it away for 20 years and then see what it's worth!

I guess those little aluminum washers are gone now.

Is there a suitable replacement available anywhere?

Is this the same washer? [urlhttps://www.fastener-express.com/4-flat-washer-aluminum-Qty.-100.aspx][/url] I've been buying screws and lock nuts from them for quits some time.

If my calipers are accurate, they're maybe a couple thousandths larger on OD and thickness but certainly close enough. And they're about one third the cost ($3.99/12 vs. $11.65/100). Thank you Nomad, I had checked fastener-express but somehow I missed these. :D

Your very welcome sir. I plan on getting a pack when I run out of Associated washers. , On second thought, I think I'll not open the last 2 packs of AE washers, might be some "gold" to be had for them someday.

I'm expecting to see a whole bunch of these emails in the next few weeks on all the parts I have emails on. Sad, really.

AE's list of discontinued parts grows.

Part #: 6225 (Steering Blocks, white)

Bodies are gone:

Part #: 6121 (Viper Buggy Body, clear)
Part #: 6160 (Protech Buggy body, clear)
Part #: 6162 (RC10 Turbo Mirage Body)
Part #: 6181 (High Down Force Wing Kit)

Is there anyone else making the original Protech body?
