well as you guys know I have been looking for a team checkpoint motor for awhile
i have a can but no endbell or arm,
with a number of attempt's to get one here and off ebay i THINK i got one
but here is the question for the owners of these motors....

Nice bit of Checkpoint rarity here, in as-found condition.

I believe these were HPI Uno (Masami) based builds with the slot modular endbell conversion, subsequently leading to the more common Platinum Series Checkpoints which also had the trademark...

So this bad boy got sent off to motor guru Glyn Ward for a full strip and rebuild. He skimmed the comm for starters and checked the magnets. The magnets were spot on, and he told me he expected this to be the case as they are early sintered ferrite...

Picked these up yesterday with a collection I purchased. Not familiar with any of them. I was able to find some info on Team Checkpoint motors. Silver one is a platinum maybe? Not sure about the blue label one, but I noticed it has the more common...

They should just be standard slot car springs. Group 12 and up.

I want to use this old Checkpoint motor in another build and was wondering about what year these were released. It was modded with a Lemans aluminum end bell and is a 18x2 wind. I kinda like the matching gold label and endbell. Very smooth runner...

Your Checkpoint Yokomo motor looks great and is very rare. But if it's me I would replace the endbell with a correct Yokomo endbell, even when I like that Le Mans.

I remember someone mentioned you could still get the brushes and springs from slot car makers, I think.
