Bolink is coming back!

Post by GoMachV »

There is a new Facebook page created and it sounds like Bolink is coming back. I believe some of the body molds went to RJ Speed and RC Car Kings, and the Legends platforms went to RJ, but it sounds like the trademark has a new owner. This will be cool, I never expected to see rere Bolinks!

I would love to see an improved Eliminator 10 with link rear pod and dynamic front suspension. A redesigned chassis for lipo use would be awesome! :D

I sadly missed the opportunity to get the domain name for cheap when the person who bought it from Bolink let it expire after many years. I knew it was going to happen but forgot about it on the date, and nobody else snagged it. Then someone from China re-registered it before I remembered about it again, and that's how it sits now. It's a real shame as it had been continually renewed since the late 90s, which is rare and increases the value exponentially. Once it was "dropped" and re-registered again, the clock started over.

Anyway, I think the person who originally bought the domain name also had the rights to use Bolink for business/manufacturing purposes. I vaguely remember they planned on producing R/C products under the name but nothing ever came of it obviously. I wonder why RJ Speed never pursued it?

I still hope the BoLink thing is a success, I talked with the guy about 2 years ago but hadn't really heard any news on progress since. I am sure if he is like me you have business product ambitions but not always the time and money to complete them very quickly.

FYI in case their hadn't been notice here yet. RJSPEED is under new ownership now. Rick sold things and is still making bodies for them but the new guys are making the kits now. They have their own machine shop.

(lol on the molds info and what we know now) :)

The dirt oval molds went to Windtunnel Racing, which is a shame they got split up.

This reminds of when DPI tried to come back. One guy got the molds and started it up, then it never went anywhere.

Any one got links to kits for sale?

RJ Speed kits look to be available at Amain & Tower:
